This is under stock consideration as I should use gummy bears as my medium too. And other sweets. Cost consideration also as gummy bears are alot cheaper than paper. Also this is to do with perspective, half green half red depending on which way you look at it. I could change my audience to kids etc and use medium like this!

visit to muji. This was for pleasure and research. plain carpenter pencils (square) are proving hard to get my hands on and I am worried about printing or sticking onto circular pencils. I am making things very hard for myself when there are available products which would b easier to print onto already out there. These hexagon pens would set nicely and would be easier to print onto. One for the crit I think.

This was both disappointing and helpful as it has raised a debate that needs to be had regarding my project. Minimalism and I get along well in the way that I really admire the discipline, use of negative space and overall appearance. However I found some of John Pawson's work a bit too clinical in some of the context's he put them in. A church for example I think is supposed to be a spiritual place. He conveyed it in the way that it had just been invented and had no emotion or history at all. This whole getting rid of all things unnecessary and hiding all things that are used can create yes a very satisfyingly good appearance but at the same time, this is form over function but does it always look good? And to whom? Why is a fruit bowl not an unnecessary appliance to have on show? Finally, is there room for form over function in a busy everyday life?

This is awesome. I like that the everyday object are working together to make a lovely little image. You could do this with anything! Something to think about.

oh my gosh. Idea. If I am missing a packaging element to my project ie. the most important part of the brief, if I love this so much as a product and not as the print itself (even thought the 'printed' image is amazing) why don't I make it relevant to me. I have put together a few logo designs which have triggered an idea. I will follow up on the ol DC.
